Best Leader I have Ever Fished. Landed a 25" + Brown with 7x tippet, Amazed the Tippet never snapped, great product. Thanks Scott Boutwell, N.H.
Amazing leader, thank you for showing me the way. I could not believe the size of multiple fish on 7x tippet, I am now a believer. Darrin, SC
I have to say that these are the best leaders that I have ever used. My fishing buddy told me to try one out. I had never heard of them before. Granted, I am not an expert fisherman. Once you try these you will be “hooked”. I am able to use 6 and 7x tippet and not worry about breaking it when I set the hook. The leader takes most of the stress and the presentation is the best thing about it. Thanks Mike…

Just got back from my first trip using the new leader, Thank you. You were right about the presentation as well as not spooking the fish. Thanks for taking the time to answer all of my questions, I wiill be ordering more in the future.

Mike,
Thanks for turning me on to these leaders. All the good things you say about them are true. The presentation is great, they hold up in strong winds well, and are simple to use and deadly effective! I have only got out 5-6 times so far since I got the leaders a couple weeks ago, but after using them on a couple larger rivers with high winds and a few small creeks I can already see that I will be a loyal customer of yours for a long time to come. Keep up the great work Mike.

Mike,
I have an update for you. So far I have been able to use the 5-6 weight leader to bring in 5 rainbows and 8 browns from the upper Cache la Poudre river in Northern Colorado. Those results are from a single full day trip to this beautifully gin-clear and pristine freestone river using nothing but dry flies. Although these numbers are typical for me, I wanted you to know your product performed well. 2 nights ago I took out my 7'6" 4 weight and went to the lower Poudre to hunt for the bigger nocturnal browns and I landed a very rare-sized 18 incher! The rarity of this size is due to the the nature of the river. This was done with the 3-4 weight leader and you should know I am impressed with the capability of your leader. Dries are landing just exquisitely and in heavy wind, although I did experience a tangle, it was easily removed, as your product did not produce a single knot! I have included a picture for your review. Keep in mind this was in complete darkness so it was hard to photograph.

Mike,
This Thanks is long overdue. Last July, I ordered 2 of your dry-fly leaders to use on both my son’s, 15/13, fly rods because I was just done with all the added cost and constant work to use the regular mono leaders. When I took them out of the package and they just hung straight with no memory, I knew these were different. After watching them cast them, I had to borrow their rods to believe what I saw. Well, let’s just say, it took about 2 casts and knew that these were the real deal! I ended up ordering a couple more for me in both the dry and nymph and will NEVER go back to the old leaders EVER! They last so much longer than old style and handle like a dream. I ended up fishing about 50 times on one leader and it held up with no problems what so ever and would have no worries using it another 50 times! The only reason I changed the leader was that I ordered the hybrid nymph with 5-6 as gifts for fishing buddies and wanted to try that it out! Every now and then, there are those special things you find that seem to be better than you could have imagined….Well, your leaders are just that…Better than I could have hoped for.
I’m sure I’ll be ordering more of them to put on ALL my fly reels and rods!
Thanks again.

i picked up a three weight ultimate dry fly leader for the first bamboo rod i finished. lots of enduring qualities but the thing i love most is how perfectly the leaders present the fly. brookies and golden trout can be easily spooked by a loud landing, not the case with these leaders. These leaders are beyond awesome. i will never go back to making my own tapered leaders outta mono. the lack of trouble from them compared to mono makes fishing that much more enjoyable that’s for sure. plus i love that im not leaving lengths of mono out there. not only a superior product, but also certainly more eco friendly which i could see being a huge selling point as well.
thanks, take it easy!

Just tried your new 50 inch steelhead leader on the opening day of Steelhead season on the Central coast of California and had to write. The weather turned real windy for the opener and we had 50+ mph gusts blowing all day. I fished a two fly flash bugger/nymph combo all day with your leader and had virtually no foul-ups, knots or other problems normally encountered when fishing this twqo fly rig, especially in high winds. The steelhead leader with about 6 feet of 3x flouro tippet turned over the flies with ease and I was able to maintain much tighter loops (necessary for the windy conditions) without fouling the flies than I ever have with a conventional mono leader. The swivel end worked to eliminate line twist as advertised, and, best of all, I caught plenty of fish. Thanks for making such a great product. I have also used your dry fly leaders and now will fish nothing else.

Dear cutthroatleaders,
Hey i just wanted to drop you another line to thank you for your awesome leaders. This fall with your leaders has really been the most fun i have ever had fly fishing. Also could you please leave me some good feedback on the auction, thanks.
Mike
Mike,
This past summer you sent an Ultimate Leader for 4-6 wt for me to try out and asked for my feedback. At long last I had the proper opportunity to try it out. It was wonderful. I fished the Big Horn two days ago. Fish were feeding warily on small BWO’s. I used a 7-1/2” ‘boo rod (a PHY Perfectionist taper, to be exact) with a Cortland Clear Creek 5-wt line, your Ultimate Leader, and +7 ft of 6x tippet. I used a variety of patterns ranging from soft hackle emergers to #20 CDC BWO duns. Your leader was most enjoyable, delivering the offerings accurately and delicately. Nary a fish was spooked by the casts.
I also used the 24” reinforced nymph leader w/swivel (as a streamer leader) – top notch leader throwing wooly buggers.
I also used the 9’ 7/8 spey leader, again with the swivel, throwing buggers at distance, using a 12’ 400 grain ‘boo spey rod. (I had a great time that day using a variety of rods.) Your furled leaders worked much better than any of my previous leader systems. I shall be ordering more leaders soon.
Lastly, I recently ordered the ‘shorty’ dry leaders, which I used a week ago on a narrow high-mountain stream. The shorty leader is just right, especially with the rods I use on that stream (6’ 8” to 7’ ‘boo rods).
I first learned of your leaders a little over a year ago. I currently use nothing but Cutthroat leaders. A fine product.
