Why CutThroat Leaders are better.  Open a Monofilament leader from its package, you have to stretch it, pull it through a leather leader straightener and it still has the coiled memory.  Thread leaders have no memory, none.    This creates a more natural drift with less drag.  Also, all of the energy from the cast is transferred through the leader, not lost in the coils that never straighten out.   More energy equals better casting and more accurate presentations.

All Furled Leaders are built with a Loop end at the Fly-Line end (butt-end).  This loop is woven into the leader itself and will flatten out smooth with loop end of the fly-line.

I offer Two tippet end Options:

I prefer the Tippet Ring connection  this facilitates easy tippet changes.  I use a 2mm Tippet ring, these rings are strong enough to land any fish a 5/6 wt rod can handle, yet are so lite, the leader end actually floats.

Leader Color:    I get many questions pertaining to leader color.   I currently offer five leader colors, Tan, Green, Yellow, White and Camo, but typically recommend the use of Tan, Green or Camo.   Think of the furled leader as an extension of your fly line, most fly-lines are brightly colored.   After you attach your desired length of tippet material (anywhere from 6-10 feet) your colored leader is now a substantial distance away from your fly.

I currently offer Three Different Leader types:

"The Ultimate Dry Fly Leader:    This leader is a must for enhancing your dry fly presentations.   These Leaders will turn 6'-10' of your favorite tippet and drop your dry with the most gentle of lay-downs.   I currently offer these Threaded Furled Leaders" in 3-4 wt. and 5-6 wt as these are the most common trout lines.  Myself along with other satisfied customers have landed huge fish on the 5-6 leaders using only 7X tippet.  The Leaders ability to provide durability, strength and stretch will surprise even the most seasoned angler.

Nymphing Leader,   A 56" Nymph Leader which has addition thread woven into the butt section for better turning over of heavy fly's.   I offer one custom strike indicator with each nymph leader.  Simply apply floatant to the upper portion of leader and your added visibility of what you leader is doing above the water will educate you on what's going below the surface.   I have received many questions asking if fish spook from  threaded leaders.   Quick answer is,  No.    Even in the clear Western waters, the fish are so accustomed to objects in the water, (leaves, sticks, grass) the leader brings no additional notice.   The added benefits of seeing not only the indicator, but the subtle changes in leader movement is invaluable.   Add a length of fluorocarbon tippet to the end and you are ready to fish.

Hi-Vis Nymphing Leader,  This Leader has a brightly colored butt section of Hi-Vis Orange or Hi-Vis Yellow which acts as a 18" strike indicator.   The Hi-Vis portion of the leader has Floatant added to the butt-section  to keep it floating high.   The upper portion "Butt Section"" is made up of additional lengths of thread, (for casting heavier wet flies/nymphs and tapers down to an earth colored thread (green or tan) .  Works great on the subtle strike you may have been missing with a typical "bobber" type indicator.

"Hybrid" Nymphing Leader, This Leader brings the best of both leader materials together. The upper portion "Butt Section"" is made up of additional lengths of thread, (for casting heavier wet flies/nymphs and tapers down to a transition of 100% fluorocarbon which aids in delivering the fly's down deep. The Fluorocarbon is also furled, creating and amazing nyphing leader. Choose a brightly colored thread and use the threaded leader as a 36" long strike indicator. Works great on the subtle strike you may have been missing with a typical "bobber" type indicator.
